Default Story for the board

So, my wife had the day off today. Today in north east North Carolina, is was near 90 degrees with not a cloud in the Carolina Blue sky.
She was on the way back from visiting my niece's school about 30 miles away and passes a local deputy who promptly turns around and pulls her over.
She asked what was the problem and he said, get this now:
Nothing wrong, I thought that was a Jag and it is beautiful and I just wanted a closer look.
I'm trying to decide whether to be flattered that he thought the car was cool enough for all that trouble or that he was hitting on my wife :icon_dan ce-twist:

The ring on her finger wasnt big enough to see, so he had to get a closer look

What makes you think that she was wearing a ring?

Either way, it is presumptious to assume the officer made the stop to ogle either the wife or the car. If it were me, I'd be far more upset that the "officer" made a "traffic stop" for no legal cause except for some ulterior personal motive.

LOOK, in order for us to make a determination on this case we MUST have more evidence. Post a pic of the Jag and the wife (preferrably in a bikini). We can't just let this go. Time is of the essence!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lol...nice story there clark, thanks for sharing.
The jurys out though it would seem and looks like they're demanding photographic evidence before they'll make their decision

Officer should be good on tastes lol
Whatever it is he should have let her go rather than a sneaky look

Either way, take it as a compliment. Who knows, maybe someday a female deputy will pull you over for a peak

That is one fine looking vehicle! I looked long and hard to find one in Radiance Red.

Best regards,

Best regards,
Thanks, I think they may have called it Carnival Red in 2000. I got a black 2000 XJ8 on the way then I'll be XK8+XJ8 (though not L) just like you. What color (or should I say "Colour") is yours?

Default What's missing

I can't believe nobody commented on the missing head light washer cover. I've fixed it since the pics were taken.

My XK8 is "Radiance" which has a goldish metallic in it and may be a bit darker than Carnival Red. My XJ8L is "Zircon", an almost pearl-like, metallic light blue.

Mine's been missing for so long I didn't even notice. Driver's side, too!

If it was a 'peek' then that would be one thing. however if it was a 'peak', that would be another thing entirely...

Clark, there is a statute of limitations you know. WE must see the whole body of evidence!!!! The XK8 looks flawless by the way.

Hey Clark, I see you're out there by Elizabeth City. I have an office up in Norfolk and I always take the back roads coming home and pass right through there. I like the drive. There are lots of straight, wide, open roads out that way where you can really open things up and see how she performs.

You can drive the car fast, too.
