Story for the board
So, my wife had the day off today. Today in north east North Carolina, is was near 90 degrees with not a cloud in the Carolina Blue sky.
She was on the way back from visiting my niece's school about 30 miles away and passes a local deputy who promptly turns around and pulls her over.
She asked what was the problem and he said, get this now:
Nothing wrong, I thought that was a Jag and it is beautiful and I just wanted a closer look.
I'm trying to decide whether to be flattered that he thought the car was cool enough for all that trouble or that he was hitting on my wife

Either way, it is presumptious to assume the officer made the stop to ogle either the wife or the car. If it were me, I'd be far more upset that the "officer" made a "traffic stop" for no legal cause except for some ulterior personal motive.
LOOK, in order for us to make a determination on this case we MUST have more evidence. Post a pic of the Jag and the wife (preferrably in a bikini). We can't just let this go. Time is of the essence!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks, I think they may have called it Carnival Red in 2000. I got a black 2000 XJ8 on the way then I'll be XK8+XJ8 (though not L) just like you. What color (or should I say "Colour") is yours?
Mine's been missing for so long I didn't even notice. Driver's side, too!
If it was a 'peek' then that would be one thing. however if it was a 'peak', that would be another thing entirely...
Hey Clark, I see you're out there by Elizabeth City. I have an office up in Norfolk and I always take the back roads coming home and pass right through there. I like the drive. There are lots of straight, wide, open roads out that way where you can really open things up and see how she performs.
You can drive the car fast, too.
