Suggestions for a code reader?

I need to buy a code reader for a 97 XK8. Any suggestions where to find one or brand to buy? Also, does the code reader reset the computer?

My suggestion is to use the Torque app if you have a Android phone. Its free and the OBDII to Bluetooth converter is less than $10.

Most, if not all, readers will reset codes including the free Torque app.
