Supercharger Level

Supercharger Level
There seems to be a lot of discussion about changing the supercharger oil in or out of the car, mainly because of the proper level. I attached 2 photos, as you can see the way the supercharger sits naturally outside of the car is not level.
Is the supercharger supposed to be level when refilling? Is the angle it sits at naturally level or should I level it out?

Hello, when I changed the oil S/C a couple weeks ago, I did it with S/C installed and in car on a level surface.
When I removed plug no oil came out on it's own.
When I refilled after removing 6.8 oz. I filled until the oil started seeping out which was exactly 7.2 oz. which is exactly what the Eaton S/C capacity calls for.
I guess the .4 oz. difference was disintegrated over the 100K miles.
Moral of story is: fill the S/C until the new oil starts dripping out and you have filled to the correct capacity of your Eaton SuperCharger with your car on a level surface.
But I would absolutely measure the amount of oil you put back in versus the amount you took out making sure they add up to 7.2 oz. between the two!
Always good to measure twice, to be sure!
