God had alot of PM's on this subject.If you are not all aware Jaguar
used different transponder chips over the years in there keys,so it would be advisable to get a locksmith to read your key so you can get the correct chip fitted and programmed.
The key also needs to be programmed to the vehicle,if you are using a new transponder chip.
Local Indie or dealer can do this by way of connecting to WDS or IDS
