Default T-cut or not T-cut?

My experiments with wheelchair loading have resulted in my scratching my (otherwise spotless) paintwork. Would anyone with a clue recommend T-cut? Ive no idea.TIA

rub a drop of oil into the scratch, if it 'almost' disappears then using t cut or other similar will help lessen the obvious deep cut. I think it is too deep to be removed but you can lessen the appearance of it a bit. If it does almost go away after the oil, I would clean the oil out with some alcohol and then carefully fill the scratch with clear laquer then finally polish it flat and shiny.

Ouch! I feel your pain.

Unfortunately it's though the clearcoat, the base (colour) and down to the primer. No form of abrasive polishing is going to remove that. Two options for a DiY fix:

1. coloured wax polish (fills the scratch and makes it look a lot better but is only temporary
2. use a chip/scratch repair kit (e.g. Chipex - https://chipex.co.uk/products/chipex-lite ) will give a permanent repair but takes time and patience to get a good result

The other option is a professional repair by e.g. ChipsAway. Google paint chip repair + durham to find several local providers.

I've no fear of slow or fast hard work (as long as I can do it in bursts of no more than 3 hours) and as a point of principle more than anything I'd like to do it myself. I'm assuming I'll only need a small Chipex kit, they have them in my colour.I'll give one of them a go and keep the professionals in reserve.​​​​​​​Thanks again. The people I got to know through owners clubs with my XJS encouraged me to try the XKR, although obviously 390BHP also played a part!​​​​​​​

I would use dr color chip. Match my c300 iridium silver flawlessly to the point I couldn't find scraches or chips. Really easy to apply compared to anything else I've seen
