Thanks in Advance!
Greetings,
About to pull the trigger on a 2001 XK8 conv. w/41,000 miles, 2 previous owners. I'm having a well respected mechanic scope it out for me. Any red flag items he should specifically be looking for? I know about tensioners, and conv. top hydraulic fluids...any others jump out at you? THANKS!

Welcome to the forum and to the wonderful world of Jaguar.
On your question . . .
. . . only about a hundred . . .
There is a world of info in the 'Sticky' above on what to look for but I would suggest that the biggest 'hidden' high cost issues have to do with the electronics. Guess what a burned out dash light bulb . . . or a seat module that doesn't work would cost to have replaced at a dealer. Here is a link to an earlier post. These cars are best owned by hobby mechanics.
