Is the timing chain tensioner issue endemic to the 4.0L engine only or does it also extend into the 4.2L series as well? If it does involve the 4.2 engine how does one determine the safe cutoff date for proactive replacement?

Jaguar fixed the tensioner issue near the start of the 2002 production run so most of the '02's and all of the later cars have the metal ones.
