Need new tires for my 2001 XK8. We only drive the car in the summer, around 3000 miles per year. The tires will rot off before they wear out. Do not want to purchase a $1500 set. Just need a good safe tire. Thanks

 

I put Khumo (spell?) tires on all my cars for years. Good mix of price and what I feel is quality and decent road noise level.

 

Just installed 4 General G-max AS-03 tires on my 98 XK8.
Beseides looking great, they seem like a good compromise if you need a little "all season" compatibility.

You can find them for as little as a 100.00 per tire plus install

 

I recently bought a set of Bridgestone Turanza Serenity Plus tires for my 98 XK8 Coupe...amazingly quiet, smooth riding and reasonably priced

 

+1 on the General G Max AS 03.

 

I like the Yokohama YK580 (available only at Discount Tire). Great tire with a good treadwear warranty, all for a decent price. Been running them on my wife's daily-driver 2006 XK8 for more than four years now....

 

+1 on the Yokohama, but better hurry, they are replacing it with a newer lower speed rating model.
