TRAC not available, ASC not available, ABS indicator always On
I did this repair on my XJ8, but it's been a while. Once I got the module apart, the bad solder joint was obvious. But, I seem to remember a way to verify the issue by doing a
blink test and counting the blinks. The ABS light, I think ? I think mine was "21" or something like that. As far as advice, be careful. That doesn't help much, but if you've watched the video, you
probably know what to do. I got the module out without disconnecting the brake lines, however it is fiddly, and I did have to do some creative bending of lines, which got bent
back after. The other hard part is opening the module. Maybe you can open it without cutting, but I don't know how. But, it's nice when you get it fixed ! Cheap fix, just a bit tedious.

That test drive ended with a sharp left had wheel lock "U". After reading about issues with sharp turns I though I'd start with cleaning the wheel sensors and checking the tension on the sensor cables. It looked to me that both front cables were a little tight. I cut the cable ties and slip the rubber sleeve about 1/2 to 3/4" to increase the slack at both front sensors. I pulled each sensor cleaned them and the plugs with contact cleaner, checked resistance of each and put them back in. Replacing the cable ties for each front cable. The resistance readings were all a touch over 1K ohm. When done, I started the car and problem was gone! Thank you all for the advice and excellent instutional videos!
