Short answer is probably "yes", but can you expand on the question? Are you referring to the usual failure mode of the 5HP24 in your car?

From a percentages point of view look up " A " drum failure and see if the symptoms match on the 5HP24 . Don't push the transmission hard as it makes the repair harder and more expensive
