Ok, Ok, before I get the little parade of "worthless without pictures", let me start by saying I don't have any yet I can show! My trim shop is working on it as we speak but as soon as I get one, I'll add to the thread.
I've always loved the Union Jack graphics on E types and XK's but since my car is a very dark custom metallic black oak brown, the standard colors just don't work. And I've never been one to follow the pack!
I've opted to do a matte black on my existing color. If you look at a Union Jack, the white lines will be in matte black. He's doing that part now, and it's getting the best of him!
I've seen a little of it and I can already tell I'm wanting a bit of color as it's too subtle (but I'm letting him finish and see in the sun)
My latest idea is to add 3/4" brick red stripes just inside the black stripes in the main cross. And add a 3/8" dark navy blue stripe just beside the more narrow stripes on the diagonal cross. I'm hoping it has a "steampunk" feel when it's done and like I said, pics will follow soon.
I have a concours show May 2 in Pinehurst NC so it will be ready for that!
