Default Unknown rubber holder part - RESOLVED

Hello all.
As the title states I have an unknown part in the rear wheel wells and looking to find out what they. See picture of part circled in red.

Looks to be a bar holder of some sort. I've been watching a few videos on You Tube of folks have some work done to back ends of their xk8's and they all seam to be missing anything that would be utilized by this holder as well. Any help here much apreciated.
Kind Regards
S. Degenkolb

It’s a suspension bump stop.

It doesn’t hold anything, it just prevents the control arm from hitting the chassis when you take a big bump on the road.

Rear suspension bump stop. Nothing wrong with it.
