I'm waiting for my new leather seat skins and was thinking about listing my old ones for sale. I'm wondering if my passenger seat skin, in near perfect condition, would be the same as the UK driver seat? I've looked at the photos and they look the same. And my drives seats in fairly good condition as well, except for the side back bolster showing scuffs but no tears or cracks. Probably able to re dye.
Any ideas?

 

I would have thought RH seats would be the same regardless of LHD or RHD.

However, although the Parts Catalogue has the same number for the RH Squab (item 4), it shows different numbers on the Cushion (item 2) for LHD / RHD.





The only difference I can think of is passenger sensing in the later MY's. The actual skins should be the same and therefore interchangeable.

Never seen them off, but wouldn't the seat bottoms have a cutout for the seat controls? If so, that would make the difference between LH and RH, bearing no relation to LHD vs. RHD.

 

Thats what I thought. When I was looking for a replacement seat for my car, I thought I may find one in UK for the passenger side but they simply never came up for sale!! And I wanted black, which should have been easy.
So! When I get my new skins installed, I'm listing my passenger seat for sale in UK! I KNOW someone has a ratty black drivers seat that my passenger seat skin will make look like new and match their other one!!
