Default Use of Floor Jacks & Stands

Is it possible/safe to use a floor jack to raise the front end of an XKR and if so where should the jack lift plate be positioned so as not to cause structural damage?

Thanks for the help.

Tim

jack points are identified in the manual, there's a slight overlap and bend of metal where you can put your jack. As for the stands, I put a single stand under the center 'brace' so that it rested on the flat part of the stand (w/o the riser thing). Finding a point on each control arm is next to impossible, and and I didn't want to chance any damage.

JTIS displays a central floor jack point on the front body cross member under the radiator. Jack stands to be used at the vehicle jack points. I have used the cross member without issue but it just does not look substantial enough.

Do not jack on the aluminum suspension frame casting.

Floor jack point for the rear is centrally under the rear suspension subframe. Jack stands go under the vehicle jack points.

better wording tom, thanks. My floor didn't adequately reach the subframe (smaller version), so I had to lift on the jack points...backwards I suppose.

As Testpoint says, use the cross member under the radiator. However, you must remove the black plastic air dam first!
