Default Water leak behind the Supercharger 2000 XKR

Took my XKR to the shop and they tell me the water leak in the rear of the engine is coming from the back of the Supercharger.

Like some of these shops in Clovis CA they don't really want to work on it.

Anyone know what might be up?

The heater hoses need replacing and the supercharger needs to be removed. It's expensive and some owners think hey are being ripped off.

valley hoses aren’t that common but it’s a pretty big job. octopus doesn’t have to be touched but a new three way tee is a no brainer

i’d bill 12 hours and you have to go through the dealer for parts. shops are probably too busy to take it on when they have gravy lined up

12 hours?

All Data lists it as a 5 hour job.

Maybe my son and I will just do it. We have the skills, just wanted to pay someone.

It's a car. We're physics guys. We can get it. Even if it was designed by Englishmen. Laziness and money is the impediment.

Find a garage that will take on most anything. At least the one I have now will happily take pretty much any job as long as it's not body work and painting.
