Default Wind Deflectors that don't require drilling XK8/XKR

Hi All,

Anyone know of any quality wind deflectors that don't require drilling for my 03 XK8 convertible?

I suggest going for the Adamesh one. Excellent quality and fast DHL shipping from the UK.

It does require a bit of drilling in an hidden aluminum bracket, but the soft aluminum is easy to drill and the drilling is not in an exposed area (it is UNDER the trim), so there is nothing 'damaged' to see if you were to remove it completely.

I was really hoping to find one that doesn't require drilling, is there no such product for our cars?

I think even the original Jaguar ones were drilled too.

I bought one from a company in Germany I think. The frame is colour coded to my leather. Looks great and works a treat. Cost me about £120 I think.

Don't be afraid to drill. The one I got was from another forum member but it is the one sold by these guys:

You end up drilling a piece of metal that is underneath the trim cap piece--pretty easy and unseen.

Would love to see your wind deflector, are you going to the British car meet this weekend?

Yes--planning to be there. It looks like the weather will be pretty decent this year for a change.

Hey King--I usually end up getting there by 10 plus or minus. In the past they usually place our vintage/model just to the right of the driveway as you enter. See you tomorrow.

I have had the Windblox for two summers and it works great. I made the mistake of ordering it with a tint. Should have chosen clear but with that said, it works wonder and you get used to the little sheep's wool straps on the solid seat backs. My wife is the one who appreciates it the most.

Rob, looks like you went with the rubber edge, is that a custom shape? What's your take on how it looks and functions? Would you please post a pic from the rear...

Standard cut, ordered the rubber boarder option. Figured it would make it less likely to get chipped. Here are some shots from the back:

From the pictures it looks as it would be pretty useless as a wind deflector, it's just no big enough.

I have the Adamesh version fitted which is twice the size but still not much good above 50MPH.
