Default Window Tinting

Well I had my windows tinted today and it turned out great, exactly what I wanted. I went with HuperOptik film, which was twice as expensive as the regular stuff. Thanks Count_Damonee, jamjax, and XKRacer for your recommendations, I went with a 30% film all around (except the front, of course). It looks great in the day and I have no problems at night. I'll post some photos tomorrow; it was too dark when I got home tonight to take photos. However, the installer asked if he could take a couple of photos and post them on his company's web site. I said sure.

Hey MJ;

Does this mean you have recovered and are back on the road driving yerself??

That's great news buddy!!

Good job on the windows looking forward to the snaps.

If you are backing into your garage or anywhere at night you might want to consider the LED back up light conversion mentioned in some of the threads that seem to give much more light.

For the record I think the blind spot cameras are a great idea, most especially for the convertibles which have huge and impossible blind spots that no amount of head turning compensates for.

take care,

jj

Thanks man, I've been "back in the saddle" for about 4 weeks now. I've even had her up to 100 a couple times this week; it felt very good.

I've got a few ideas on the blind spot camera idea. I'll post more as I work out the details.

Good to hear you are on the mend Any chance of posting some pix of the window tint? I have been toying with the idea myself, but after experimenting with PhotoShop, I'm not sure...

MJ;

Are talking about the car?

Easy on the ticker there big guy.

Big Cajones in Texas to go speeding.... though I always point out to the nice officer that it is ever so flat and open that it seems a crime to be going under 100mph.
It's not like there is anything to hit.....

Glad you are on the mend 'saddle' or no.

Maybe you could hook up with Whitey and come up with a screen package for the cameras....might as well add a reversing camera on the back while you are at it.

Though I worry more about dinging the nose than the tail.....

cheers,

jj

Here's a photo; what do you guys think?

Jamjax, don't worry, I'm 10 miles past where Jesus lost his sandals. As long as you're not doing something really stupid, the troopers will leave you alone. Besides, the cat just needs to run from time to time.

Very nice...of course, I'm very biased towards coupes with Double-Fives.

Looks great. Now you need to think about losing the side moldings. I need to remove mine as well, but it will have to wait until I do a full respray.

Thsnks, the side moldings are next on my list as well as clear running lights instead of the amber/red. So many mods, so little time.

Mark, is your car lowered? I like the stance. The tint looks great too.

Thanks and you're right about needing it hear. The HuperOptik is supposed to reflect 70% of the heat. The demo at the shop was very impressive. I'll be sure to give your regards to the late great JC next time I see him looking for his sandals.

Not to the best of my knowledge but I haven't looked.
