Default Wiper Arm Replacement

I am missing one [passenger side wiper arm] This is not a big deal, except that here in Mex the price is approx 80US.

Now my question is can the wash/nozzel parts be attached to a regular wiper, or even better is there a Ford wiper with a wash nozzel available?

I am sure someone here has had to replace a wiper arm and hopefully there is a cheaper solution that 80 dollars...

Thanks

JEZ

PS.
All my other parts arrive back in Mexico next Thursday so I hope to get my car on the road soon after. Luckily it doesn't rain here too often...

sorry, never had to replace an entire arm before, nor have heard anything resembling a Ford interchangebable part. May I inquire how you lost yours? Was the $80 too much for someone else in your neighborhood. Best bet is call salvage yards.

Try car-parts.com. They will distribute your parts request to a large number of recyclers. I would also check on part numbers for the use of XJ arms. Should be lots out there. Recyclers start at 50% or dealer retail but will go much lower.

The wiper arm was missing when I bought the car. Perhaps 80 was the reason someone else had to remove it...

excellent, I wasn't sure a US source would be beneficial for where you are located. Keep that web site that testpoint gave you bookmarked, more than likely you'll need it again in the future. I'm not surprised that xk8 parts are rather rare in your region of the world.

I only know of two other Jaguars in Playa, both of which are XJ's. Occasionally a X type appears but this is also rare.

My XK8 is the only one I have ever seen.

The only effective way to get parts is from the USA, and this works well. he Car-part website is a new [to me] great resource.
