wire dangling

Default wire dangling

been rewiring the number plate light on my car found this wire dangling about under the amp and cd changer cover..any body know what it is?

This is a somewhat wild guess but I believe there's a connector in the boot with 12V. It is there to keep a rechargeable flashlight (torch) at the ready. See if there's 12 volts across the pins.

I think that one is near the battery vent tube area.

Perhaps this 'dangler' is the power feed for optional navigation unit?

Is it the 12V service for the optional power (cigarette lighter) port that is in that area?

There is a .pdf on this on the forum over the last couple of days....

DennisW. I think someone is the forum asked this question before and I believe the answer was " this is where they connected a charger when a new car was going to be parked for a while during shipping". My 65 yr old brain may have gotten that wrong. Jack
