XK8 Ashtray

Hey,
Is the XK8 and XJ8 ashtray assemblies interchangeable?
I thought a couple years were. I have a '98 XK8.

Yes - but not sure of the Model Years

Yep, they were. Not sure of the applicable model years.

This is the junker car that I took the ash tray from it, but after a year it broke again.

So I bought another unit from EBay, that fit, but had to cut and splice the connector.
