Default XK8 Brake Light Switch Fun

Hello all,

I'm having a great time trying to replace my brake switch. Even after installing the new switch, it is difficult to get it in the exact position to avoid having the brake lamps stay on all the time.

Would anyone have a spare bracket I can have/buy? I would like to experiment with a better solution to this common problem.

You need to double check the trigger part of the switch. There is a built-in ratchet you can pull out as an adjustment. You can use a screwdriver to (gently) pull the trigger towards the brake pedal bar. If you cannot figure it out, I am sure we can find a picture showing the details.

Best of luck, keep us posted.
