XK8 Lower Valance/Air Dam

XK8 Lower Valance/Air Dam
Does anyone know where I can get a new/used lower front valance /air dam for my "new to me" 1998 XK8?
I've had the car since June, and that is one of the items I haven't been able to locate online.
Maybe I'm calling it by the wrong name. It's the black plastic piece under the front bumper/nose.
Also one other thing I need help with.
My Map Lights in the upper console work fine when the doors are opened, but are extremely dim when operated by the switches.
Has anyone experienced that and may have a solution?
Thanks,
Dave B.

This is the part: Jaguar Parts - Direct JPLV Porsche Parts.com
It is called the undertray or lower cover. If you get a used one, it would be best if the rubber strip is intact, because it has a bit of a cushioning effect if you bottom the front end on a driveway.

Tell me! I ordered 6 clips for my former XJS euro headlights and they were one used one shy of 6. The one new cost as much as all5 used ones!
I just thought they may have a used under pan.
I'm really bummed mine was cut to try to fit with the arden air dam. It could have solved his problem.
Someone had a thread , I thought , that they used plastic sign board from a sign shop and used it in place of there shattered pan. That's what we used under my car in place of mine. They cut it to fit and screwed it in place. So far it works like a charm.
Oh, I think my body shop guy said he doubled up the plastic board. Used super strength spray adhesive. And used washers with screws to secure.

I believe a few months ago there was a thread and they were not available from the dealer anymore, most are pretty damaged as Steve noted the rub bar that runs across the bottom is usually pretty beat up or gone. If you can get a good one grab it. Five years ago they were about $100.00 not counting an additional $20.00 for the correct fasteners. I saw a price from Jaguar Parts.com it $212 they still list it as available.

Hey all!
Mine was in pieces ( with some areas completely rubbed off) but still attached to the car. I was able to get some fiberglass cloth with resin from Home Depot, rebuilt it to the approximate shape needed, filed it down and drilled the holes needed. A can of flat black spray paint and $25 later and I'm good to go. Looks brand new...almost.
