XK8 Pass seat problem

As I recall the fuse is in the inside the car. Either the fuse box on drivers or passanger side. Sorry I can't give you the number as my car is not here now. the cover will tell you which one. FYI on mine I placed a larger fuse in and it works fine. Mine would blow when my wife would try and move seat forward before raising the height.

I swapped the drivers control module with the passengers and moved the seat into the best position. Then opened up the removed unit only to see that the traces were worn through. I repaired them, put that module back in place and all was well.

Somethiing you might want to try is reaching up under the to the back of the seat control module and press on the connector. Since you said it occurred when you moved the seat fully forward you might have unseated the connector.
It would also be most helpful if you put the model year in your post or if you add it to your signature it will always be there.

Ship, did you check the seat switch? My son ran the passenger seat all the way forward (pinning himself under the dash, he's a big boy - pretty funny, actually) and it was the switch. I took it apart and found one of the little guide pins had dropped out, so the switch handle wasn't actually making contact with the circuit board. 15 minute fix.

Christian,
On the seat switch, on the edge towards the rear there is a lug which is held in place using a small metal clip.Using a small screwdriver, work it in between the seat leather and the switch and push GENTLY towards rear of car, then lever the rear of the switch out, being careful of the wiring. You can then disconnect the switch pack to access the torx screws on the rear of the unit and take it apart to see if any bits are out of place. I found that my "electronics" in the switch where fine but the plastic "finger handle" wasn't making good contact with the circuit board.
