Default XK8 On Plug Coil Cover and Bolts

Working on my 1997 XK8 convertible today, I noticed that my spark plug coil covers (part AJ84151) were lose on both sides.

Both of them were missing bolts, and both covers dislodged easily, as the bolt holes were dissolved and the female knurled nuts (I do not know what they are called) into which the spark plug cover bolts screwed, stripped out of their seats easily.

Although I have found new coil covers online, I cannot find the replacement parts for the female nuts and, if I can find them, how do I insert them into the head so that the coil cover bolts will tightly fasten the coil cover to the head?

I have attached a photo of the bolt and nut that to which I am referring.

Thanks for any input!
Larry

I used JB Weld and replaced all the screws with Allen head screws and washers as the holes on the cover break out real easy with just the screw alone.

Thanks for the replies. It is the female nut that is part of the valve covers that I need. My local Jag parts dept. tells me that the nut is not available and I'll have to buy new valve covers. Not gonna happen. Those who are using high-temperature glue- are you using that for the screws to go directly into, or for the insert nuts that you managed to salvage?

On mine all the knurled nuts were still present. They had come out of the plastic and stayed with the screws on the coil cover.

I would look at Lowes or Home Depot they both have drawers with hard to find nuts and bolts. I think I saw a few items that might work when I was looking for something else. Yes they have metric so take the bolt with you.
