Default XK8 Top "Stack"

I can't seem to find any info on adjusting the "stack" of my XK8 top. The low stack seems to be the cause of undue wear on the canvas top when folded. Presently I put microfiber cloths on the wear area when top is folded. My old Fords have a provision for top stack height adjustment. Anyone? Thank You. Tom

Are you suggesting that the rams are pulling the roof down to tightly on one or both sides?

Yes Gus. My 57 Ford has stack height adjustment stops to prevent this very top chaffing or at least decrease it. I assumed modern cars would have a provision for this. My cover could handle slightly more stack height. Thanks. Tom.

The roof operation is dependent on the roof rams completing a full open or full closed and this is done by the micro switches in the rams so I would say adjustments are out of the question. I would look for worn or broken linkage.
