apparently the bcm fitted is not for a vert when we go into the management programme it says convertible roof turned off and will not allow it to be turned on. Jaguar say this cannot be changed and the chances of getting the right bcm to match the car are slim to zero but for £1800 they will supply a new one and programme it. do any of you know differently surely there must be a way to flash the bcm and reprogramme as a new one. can anyone help and save my sanity while i still have a little bit

Well I see that I need to pay attention to what I am doing I thought it was a new post. HaHa!!

I think if you look in the trunk you should see a white label near the tire that has all the control modules that were fitted in the car from the factory see if you can locate it and match it with what is available on E-Bay then send a note asking if it came from a convertible.
