Default Are XK8 and XKR alloys interchangeable?

I understand that the spacesaver on the R differs from the 8 due to the need to accommodate the larger Brembo brakes. I have two questions:

First, are the wheels fully interchangeble - can I put 8 wheels on my R vehicle?
Second, I currently have 20" Sepangs. I want to source a spare set of Sepangs, but this is proving difficult. Can I put a set of 18" wheels and tyres on the car, or are there setup differences (or other problems which could arise?)

Thanks.

I can't find the table I was thinking off but am pretty sure that you need at least 19" to clear the Brembos.

Some 18's will clear the Brembo calipers. I have 18" Coventry Whitley's that fit the Brembos. Double Fives will not fit without spacers.

Thanks for these observations. So, taking these two points together:

Thanks - so you would suspect any 20" would work?

.....your feeling is that 18's would be ok, but I might need to buy spacers?

All of the 20" should be ok.

All of the 19" except Apollo style should be ok.

None of the 18" are ok. Some might work with spacers but best to avoid 18" entirely.

Referring to factory wheels only.

Some 18" are fine. The original Jaguar Hydra works fine for sure. It might be worth looking into the similar looking Aris. The "problem" with fitting wheels for big brakes is really the backspace. The overall diameter still needs to be 18" and above.

Best of luck, keep us posted.
