Default XKR 4.2 Brembo Goodridge Hoses

Hi,

I want to fit Goodridge stainless hoses to my 4.2 2003 XKR, which has Brembo calipers. Many sites only list hoses for Brembo cars up to 2002, so I am not sure what to order.

Does anyone know the part number for hoses for my car?

The closest I can find is JAGUAR XK8 SE (BREMBO BRAKES ONLY) ZINC PLATED GOODRIDGE BRAKE HOSE SJA1000-4P

Thanks,
Nick

To my knowledge, the original Jaguar lines are steel braided already. Any reason to switch to Goodridge? They offer more color choices for sure...

During my last brake job I also noticed that the brake lines on my car (which has the Brembos) seem to be steel braided and covered with a plastic or resin transparent sleeve. I decided to leave it as is. I wasn't sure if that was stock or not.

Hi All,

Good points raised here. I am repalcing the discs and pads with EBC items, my discs are warped. On my other older cars, with the usual rubber hoses, I always approached such an upgrade with new discs and more modern brake lines to match. However I think you are right the car already has steel braided lines already so I will keep my money from buring a hole in my pocket at this stage!

Cheers,
Nick

It isn’t much effort to remove a wheel and check to make sure.
