Brake hoses
Where does everyone get there brake hoses? I wanted to replace both fronts & the one rear, rockauto shows delphie & they are not bad but shows different ones, ebay has alot of them, almost overwhelming to buy the right ones,I dont want the cheapest, just the right ones..Does someone have a 3 hose kit or any part #s..ebay links etc.?
Thanks,Brian
My wheels cant be turned very easy on a lift, not sure if its rusty rotors or calipers stuck, figured id change hoses, fluid & bleed then go from there, really dont want to get into rear brakes, front brakes have wires on them to,lil confusing

I purchased Goodridge stainless steel brake lines from sngbarratt.com, and they are great quality, and not that much more in price. I will forewarn you to make sure you don't drip any brake fluid on your paint.
Fronts (all years, qty 2 required): CBC1390SS $26.42 each vs standard rubber CBC1390 $12.13
Rear (inboard disc brakes only, qty 1): CBC1393SS $26.42 vs standard rubber CBC1393 $11.97
I have not been able to find outboard disc stainless steel lines. However, I am going to need custom lines anyways due to going to outboard disc on my 90 xjs. So I will be going to my local hydraulic line company for those.
FYI those front wires are the abs wheel speed sensors. By that I see you have a 89 or newer model.

Right, safety wire to keep the bolts from backing out should they become loose for any reason.
The majority of Jags I've seen and worked on are missing the safety wire. No problem....if you check the bolts from time-to-time. There *have* been stories of the bolts coming loose....always on the rear in my experience though. Not sure why that would be.
With safety-wire pliers ($25) and some practice you can install new safety wires and rest a bit easier.
Cheers

Your plan is worth a try but my money is on the calipers being stuck. Sorry. Hope I'm wrong!
As for the rear brakes, well, at one point or another we all have to deal with 'em....like it or not . If you have original calipers and/or discs you're probably overdue
Cheers
