I just purchased a 2001 XKR with about 50K miles on it. The card is in very good shape.

During my test drive in the California desert, I took the car up to 130 mph to see if it exhbiited any misbehavior at speed.

It felt solid until I crossed that 130 mph barrier at which point, I felt through the steering wheel like the front tires were no longer gripping the road as much as they had been - it was almost like there was suddenly some "play" in the steering that hadn't been there before. I attribute this to the effects of aerodynamic lift but am not sure?

I don't plan to drive that fast very often but am curious if this behavior may be symptomatic of anything.
