My fronts struts are leaking and at 102K miles they are in need of replacement. Since I have an XKR they are part of the expectronic suspension package and the cost is very high ~ $350-$400 each. I can get non-adjustable Bilsteins for $125 and since I am replacing all four, this is a large savings. I am aware that if I do not connect the leads to an electronic suspension component, I will get a fault. I also understand that I can remove a fuse in the trunk to silence it. However, does this also remove the sport mode, which I believe also increases throttle response and possibly steering feel? Has anyone done this?
