XKR vs. XK8 Brakes
I think they both use the ATE calipers and same size rotors. (325 or 330 front & 305 rear I think)
those stock base brakes on the XKR are very good , and with the right pads can perform superbly for spirited street driving.. having better than OEM pads makes all the difference in how the stock brakes perform, I use the ebc red stuff pads and have yet to experience any fade or reduced effectiveness, even in the mountains.

305 or 325 front with one pot calliper or 325 with Brembo. You can change the 305 for 325 with the same calliper but you need a different mounting bracket about £60 or $80. This evidently only gives a 6% improvement . I am currently replacing my discs (305)and pads with new as I got some 305 NOS very cheap .so will let you know.

it also depends on the model year. The earliest cars had the 305’s front and rear, Including the XKR’s. The 325’s were later (late 1999+) put on the front of both models that had the ATE calipers (the non-Brembo’s).
