Cool Are you geeky enough for this?

I have come across a series of eight engineering papers from 1996 published in an Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE) journal on the cutting edge (at the time) design of the Jaguar XK8 electronic systems.

The titles are:
-The Electrical System of The Jaguar XK8
-The XK8 engine management system and electronic engine control module
-An introduction to the ZF 5HP24 transmission control system fitted to the new Jaguar XK8
-The safety assurance of the AJV8 electronic throttle
-The XK8 high speed powertrain serial communications system
-The design and development of the XK8 charging system
-The XK8 body electronics control system
-The architecture and analysis of the XK8 electrical system

There are also abstracts at http://ieeexplore.ieee.org/xpl/mostRecentIssue.jsp?punumber=5047. It is in total over 90 pages of material.

The bad news is a) these are not free downloads and b) it is not appropriate to post this copyrighted material on a public forum.

If, however, someone has access to a university or corporate library that subscribes to the IEEE Xplore Digital library we probably could share via PM at no cost. Any volunteers out there with access?

If no one comes forward, as a member of the IEEE I can download them for $10 each (regular rate is $35 each !!!). I would be willing to put up $20 for the set and if I get 3 other pledges for $20 each, I will download and share the set via PM.

Cool Yes I am...

I'm checking with some guys at work to see if they are members. I'd be game for pitching in for a copy. I'm a control systems engineer and am just geeky enough to find this good reading

No one else?

It looks like there is some really good insight here into the design of the XK8 that is not normally avalable to the public.
