1987 XJ6 purchased in 1990 with 17k miles currently 95k and counting as I drive very often and many a long trip. I have done 100% all work myself. From my so so paint work to my new interior and all the up keep since 1990

1987 XJ6 III This car has been with me for so long I have nearly forgotten when I purchased her. Reading was 17k miles in 1990 I'm the 2nd owner.

Engine/Drivetrain Modifications:
New gaskets, from valve covers down to the oil pan.... Not a one day event. After market water pump. Only fixin done in 95,000 miles

Interior/Exterior Modifications:
New personally installed headliner, newly covered sun visors to match. All trim and seats re done. Need to redo the wood trim on dash and center shift area

Future Modifications:
Need to redo the wood trim on dash and center shift area
Next up is refinshing a set of 15 slot style mag rims and installing new hoodliner (ordered a fancy looking after market) will be happy to take photos of installation. Read more ยป

day 1 after 6 weeks of interior work. I was not able to remove driver seat to install the new fabric. I still have no clue how to reach all the bolts on the drivers seat! This was covered in place with a fair amount of cursing

batt charger was used during water pump replacement so I could listen to the radio... also during this event, replacement of valve cover gaskets, semi - removale of rack in pinion to replace oil pan gasket and rear main seal.

no touch car wash, not recommended for freezing weather. I was stuck in the car after a wash.... had to go back and run it through again afterwards and wipe down door jams

ok these are the wheels I will be either polishing and repainting or chrome them. I checked into some chrome kits and at over 1k for the materials I might have to send them off to someone else. But I will try the polish first.
