Tell the world a little bit about your vehicle
One of my life goals was to own a Jaquar when I turned 60. The 2008 recession crushed that idea I thought. Then things turned up economically in 4th quarter 2013 when I turned 60. And THEN this Jaquar XK8 appeared at a used car lot down the street from my house. It was like magic. Like good karma. And they only wanted $4000 for it. Sold, Baby!
Future Modifications:
I have a Ford Escape Hybrid that I had made into a Plug-In by Plugin Supply in San Rafael. That was my first project car. The XK8 is my next project in my new hobby which is Electric Vehicles. Can I convert this XK8 to electric and make it's performance slightly better than a Tesla S 85? It's curb weight is 1,000 lbs lighter. But how do I get 400 hp and a 250 mile range from a conversion? Oh, and 0-60 in 4.5 seconds. Or should I do a gasoline to IC hydrogen conversion. Too bad the Hydrogen Car Company folded. They were going to make AC Cobras with and IC hydrogen engine but now everything has gone fuel cell. Too bad. I would rather have an IC hydrogen car. Fuel cells are going to be a maintenance nightmare possibly.
