Owned from June 1991, R/C and driven as 4 cyl until fall of 2003. Began conversion to V8 and first road trip in May 2005. Conversion now has over 42000 miles and no problems.
Engine/Drivetrain Modifications:
1978 MGB with total 1993 Ford Mustang Lx drive train. R/E is Moser narrowed 3.55 Trac Loc, Transmission is Tremec T5XZ (.63OD) and 5.0L Mustang HO. Upgraded injectors, MAF, CAI,X-303 FMS Alum Heads, GT-40 Tubular Intake (Ser 3), Roller Comp Cam (35-349-8). Milodon Windage Tray, Short Explorer T/C and W/P.
305 Ft. @'s Tq. and 276 RWHP
Suspension Modifications:
Poly Bushing though out, w/ poly X-member pads, rear spring hangers mounted to center X-member with metal tubing. 3/4" front sway bar,
Wheels/Tires Modifications:
Ford Focus wheels 205/50/16, Cooper Tires
Interior/Exterior Modifications:
Pageant Blue color, Biscuit color, Prestige Brand Seat covering and interrior, Heated driver seat, A/M steering wheel, Removed Front bumper and custom Nerf Bars and Air Dam, Rear Bumper replaced with F/G replica. Both saving over 100# in weight.
