Tell the world a little bit about your vehicle
A very original, beautifully maintained car. I bought it in November 2009 from its second owner, an elderly gent who had himself bought it from the first owner, another elderly gent who bought it as a retirement present to himself. It had done 65,000 Km (about 41,000 miles) in 12 years when I bought it - just enough to keep it healthy! I have it maintained at Roadbend, an independent Jaguar specialist workshop in Welshpool, WA who are superb.
UPDATE JULY 2013:
After 3 1/2 years ownership, I parted company with this car earlier this month in favour of a 2003 XJ8 4.2 SWB - pictures to follow in a new album. The car served me really well over that time and was a delight both to drive and own. I'll post some pictures taken on the day I sold it, with - amazingly - exactly 88,888 km on the clock. You'll see just how well she carried her 16 years. Although the XJ8 is light years more modern to drive, more spacious, more economical and faster, I still think the X300 is much the better looking car, with it's lower profile and longer front overhang giving more elegant proportions than the X350 which looks bulky by comparison. I hope its new owner enjoys it and cares for it as much as I did.
