Tell the world a little bit about your vehicle
This E Type was purchased by my father in 1974 while we lived in Carmel-By-The-Sea California. I drove it for 2 1/2 years while in college living in Fresno. My father just handed it over to me to care for and pass along when my time is over.
Engine/Drivetrain Modifications:
The car has a 3.8 liter inline 6 with 3 SU carbs. Dad switched out the original gearbox for a '65 4 speed gearbox with full syncro. He also converted to an alternator and Pertronix ignition. The car runs like a champ! Really brings back memories.
Suspension Modifications:
No mods here but new shocks all around, new bushings and torsion rods.
Wheels/Tires Modifications:
Chrome wire wheels, 5 x 15 and the original 5 x 16 as spares.
Interior/Exterior Modifications:
Dad swapped out the original seats for newer '66 seats which are far more comfortable. He also added retractable 3 point seat belts for added safety. The original radio long ago crapped out and has been replaced with an AM/FM Cassette.
