My excuse for buying this ridiculous car was to have a car with enough back-seat leg room for my two nephews who are 6'2" and 6'5" on this big, summer road trip this year. We kicked off the trip with the Woodward Dream Cruise, then traveled from Detroit out through South Dakota, Wyoming, Colorado, Kansas, and Missouri and saw some great things, including the Badlands, Mount Rushmore, Yellowstone, the Grand Tetons, and Rocky Mountain National Park. I thought it would be fun to post some of the pictures that included the car in them. Enjoy!

Despite the extra legroom in the long wheelbase Vanden Plas, it was a wee bit tight in the back seat because we had too darn much camping gear. After our last day of camping we shipped the sleeping bags and pads home, and life became considerably roomier.

Uh-oh. Yes, here I am at Farley's Import Car Care in Casper, Wyoming. I banged the front air dam on the curb of my brother's driveway and had to get it popped back on and properly secured. They did a great job to get me back on the road. Thanks!

At the overlook for Pathfinder Dam, Wyoming. The windy road around Alcova and Pathfinder Reservoirs is just the sort of road this car was built for. Driving it there will always be one of my favorite memories of the trip.
