Since the window was jammed at the point where it would drop I wass afraid I'd have to remove the carrier starting with the actuator. This picture is actually from Adam's video. The position of the actuator in the rail is the easiest place to remove the actuator.

Once loose, slide the roller out of the rail. Wires are long enough to set the unit out of the way. You can then saturate the rails with WD40 or other penetrating oil & move the window up & down manually. I was lucky enough to have it finally free up. I wiped the rails & greased them. Now we'll talk about the spacer or shim.

The spacer was held in place during manuafactor by sticky putty. What I did was put the unit in place starting the two short screws on the right side, slipping the shim in place& using a #1 phillips or similar the align it. Then install the longer screws & secure.

If you can, place the actuator arm in this position when removing the unit. This photo is actually from Adam's video. Once you have removed the actuator, the wires are long enough to position it out of the way.
