I bought my XK8 in a farmer's barn. and drove it home, after a new battery, and filling the tires. I replaced the trans, and started to make a modern version of my 67 BRG XKE I removed the front over riders to reveal the chrome bar. I put chrome on top of the fenders. I added functional steel louvers on the hood. Put on 16" Dayton wires. Upholstered the embroidered interior, and added a period luggage rack. She still needs to leak oil. I may put period bumpers on her. I LOVE THIS CAR!!

My 07 X Type, with real cold air induction, under the fender, painted calipers, chrome trim on the wheel openings, a small leaper above the light on the front fenders, and an eighth of an inch of truck bed liner under the whole car, and under the fenders. She's a keeper

My latest project. A 67 Chrysler Imperial convertible, in my daughter's garage that she bought for me, because I grew up, slept and hid here when the old man was gonna beat me. I go here, when I need to get my head straight now....Sometimes I still sleep over, in the office bed. My wife understands. Sometimes I take a grandson. They call it camping.

My daughter used to borrow this car, in high school, and take 6 of her friends to sun, swim, and meet boys at Dunes State Park, on Lake Michigan. No matter what I did, the boys were going to happen. She's 20 years older now, and still Beautiful....

Rust free trunk with 5 original $400 hubcaps. Even when the tires are inflated to 40psi, the tires still look kind of flat on this tank

Not just any Imperial, but the top of the line Crown model, with the optional leather interior, 4 piston disc power brakes, auto pilot, and air conditioning.

What 5 days of work, making sure everything is perfectly straight looks like. I am going to be putting a dark blue cloth top on, and paint her 2000 Cadillac Eldorado Dark Blue Metallic. It'l be close to the original color, with sparkles in it.

440 big block, wit 350 advertised hp.(actually closer to 400 hp) power brakes, cruise control(that they called Auto Pilot) power steering, and the optional AC. She's loaded and gets a screaming 12 mpg on the highway, and 8 mpg around town. Not bad for almost 3 tons.

The driver's view, with a tilt and telescopic clear single cracked steering wheel rim. I'm hoping I can fill the small crack with clear epoxy with some food coloring mixed in. I am going to sand all the wood down and stain it to a dark oak, and seal it all with about 10 coats of clear lacquer. A little mildew also.....It's an old car thing. It comes off pretty easy.

The back seat in process of being softened, with armrest, and replaced speaker. It was still working after almost 50 years. Call me cautious.

Front seats, undergoing 3 solid weeks of leather softener, so I can take the covers off, and have them redyed, and new inserts sewn in. I have most of the electrics taken apart, cleaned and working again. The dash has a number of hidden compartments, hiding the glove box, the AM/FM radio with working reverb, and ashtray. This car has 5 cigarette lighters in it. Times have changed.

Rear of 67 convertible with a trunk we could pack 4 people in, for the drive in movies.
