Close up of valve in closed position. This valve assembly, as shown on its own in Andrew's photo (first photo in text above) has to be pressed into position in the casting by unscrewing the large plug, pressing in the valve, then replacing the plug.

Place the second jack just ahead of the large nut on the tongue, then undo all the nuts and bolts you can see in the photo. Do not lose the special oval washers, as they cover the adjustment holes on the shelf!

Interestingly, these brand new liners are not yet honed for oil retention. Luckily I have a Flex-Hone in stock for this requirement, if a new replacement liner is needed.
