I recommend soldering on the trace shoulders, as seen here, rather than on the line which borders the edge. For obvious reasons. The damage is case chafing so we want to avoid that..

I scraped the trace to expose the copper, and then used a great amount of flux, solder and patience to attach it.

As it turns out, the actual break was on the corner / bend just above the last relay, not what looks like the suspect breaks in the middle.

Note the screws were just long enough to engage the square nuts, without protruding. This allowed enough clearance to mount the unit easily on the transmission, without any issue.

Drilling out just the back edge you see here is sufficient, don't drill all the way thru - the rivet should slip out easily once you've gotten past this bit.
