I noticed this cooland hose was in a really bad condition and decided to replace it. After several phone calls the only place that have it is a JLR dealer. Part will arrive this Monday.

Funny thing about the leather. They couldn’t paint it. Paint keeps running and don’t attach to the leather. It seems the leather has some kind of protective treatment. I’m a shoe maker and know a lot about leather. This seems odd in a car leather. They tested the paint compressor in a Testarossa, a Range Rover and a Porsche, it worked fine but not on the Jag. So, I’ll live with some minor scratches while they figure it out.

Four gauge drivers replaced. The only faulty one was the speedometer. Eddie recommend me to replace all four since they would eventually fail and the price different wasn’t that much.

So I decided to remove the cluster at Rivero’s, the interior guy, while he will be repainting some parts of the interior leather. Well, he called me telling me that he would need to disasemble the radio and many other parts to get to the cluster. Hell no, thanks to the posts of kiznarsh on his Jag to his mum thread I got the pictures of how to access the instrument cluster.

The speedometer kept behaving like crazy. Hot head as I am I bought a used one on ebay. Then, thanks to these great forums, I learn that there is no way to switch them without some programing. Abdi, my mechanic (yes, the very same one that left that the car fell from the lift) recommended me to call Leo’s Speedometer Inc in Meddley, FL. Eddie, the manager, is an intrument cluster master. They work for Florida Highway Patrol and many LE agencies.
