Default Rear parking sensor "pushed in".Any easy fixes?

Somehow the rear driver side parking sensor got pushed in about one inch on my 05' S-Type.I've tried looking for access in the trunk and underneath but did not see any. I read online where you have to remove the tires and wheelwell covers to remove the bumber cover but I really dont want to go that route.
Does anybodey know of any easy way to pull the sensor back through the hole with either a special tool or some "trick" that has worked for them in the past?
Thanks in advance.
Tony

There's a few detail variations across the Jaguar model range but the setup is basically the same. Seeing how it goes together may help you figure out how to put it back.

The assembly comprises a housing (H) and a sensor (G):

It is designed to be a push-fit into a 28mm circular hole with no additional fixings.

The housing is pushed into the hole and lugs on the body then hold it in position. The sensor is then pushed through from the back and engages with the two clips (see lower illustration).

Provided the housing clips aren't damaged, you'll still have to push the sensor back in from behind the bumper until it clicks back into place.

This just happened to me.. I used two small fishing hooks. I straightened the fishing hooks, but I bent the tips about 45 degrees or more. Then I grabbed two pairs of needle nose pliers to hold the fishing hooks and use them like a crab's claw. The tips will fit in the little recess on the sensor, with a little pressure the tip of the hooks will dig into the plastic and you can pull the sensor back out. With a little patience and precision you can "fish" (Pun Intended Lol) the sensor back out. Hope This Helps .. as its my first contribution to the forum.

Good Luck!

Default thanks for the tips! it worked!

Thanks for the tips. I tried the fish hook trick and it worked!
Thanks Onesicjag! I bent the fish hooks as you described and taped them to two sets of pliers so I would'nt keep dropping hooks on the ground.Every time I pulled the sensor halfway through the hole,it would stop. When I tried to pull it further it would fall back through. I decided halfway was better than no way so I put a few drops of superglue to hold it. While it is not 100% flush with the bumper at least I dont have a continuous beeping noise in reverse as when it was sitting in the hole. Thanks again!

No Problem ..Sounds Like You Will Have To Remove The Bumper Cover To Snap The Clips In.. Guess I Got Lucky as Mine Is Flush.
