British Car Show Clovis California
I'm spending the night in Clovis, outside of Fresno, to attend the British Car Show in old town Clovis tomorrow. There will also be an Antique Fair at the same location, so my Wife was happy to come along. Truth be told I enjoy Antique Fairs too. That's how I found my Jaguar tapestry. I brought my new camera though I'm not much of a photographer. Looking forward to a fun day.

There was a pretty good turnout of British cars. Triumphs, MGs, Minis, and Jags. Here are a few pictures.
Nice MGA driving in.
I especially liked the picnic basket on the back.
I liked these since I first saw them advertised in Motor Trend.
Beautiful two toned FHC.
It would be hard to choose between the coupe and this ragtop.
This black XKR was parked right next to this Aston Martin. The Jag looks right at home.
Not the best angle but I don't like cars displayed with the hood up.
I'll post some more tomorrow. My Wife is teaching me how to edit my photos but it's easier if you start with better shots. I've got a lot to learn. I'm trying to improve the content on my blog.

I just wanted to take a minute to thank you for posting all the great photos (although I don't see my '70 Austin Mini Cooper S anywhere) from our 2016 VBAC Roundup Car Show. This is a great British car show event which typically draws participation from nearly 200 participants each year. In 2015, the Jaguar marque posted the largest number of participants, at 26 entries I believe. We have several Jaguar owners who have a long standing membership in the Valley British Auto Club, and each of them shares a deep passion for their machines, both classic and modern day.
I would encourage all British car owners to come and participate in the weekend festivities if it fits into your late Summer plans. Our two day event includes a 0900 gathering on Saturday morning in downtown Clovis, for a run through the Eastern Fresno County foothills. A catered luncheon is held at the conclusion of the run. Our Sunday car show is held in the immediate proximity to a very nicely run antique and collectable faire. Admission to the antique faire is free.
As the 2018 Roundup is now in the planning phase, we are looking forward to all we have provided to our participants in the past, as well as the possibility of adding a Friday evening hospitality and registration session. Should any of the folks here have any interest and/or questions, please feel free to contact me and I will do my best to address your needs.
*** Just a note, I mis-spoke when I stated in my opening sentence, that I didn't see my Mini in any of the photos. Well, it is there... I see it was captured, by happenstance, in the background while you snapped the photo of the beautiful burgundy and black (1FATKTY) 4-door. I humbly stand corrected.

Just a quick reminder for everyone about our annual VBAC Roundup, an all British car show, next Sunday, September 24th, here in Clovis, CA. The car show is held Sunday beginning at 0900 and our Rally/Run will be held on Saturday the 23rd at 0900.
All marques are welcome, and we'd love to see some of you great Jag owners make the trek to Clovis. We hold our show in Old Town in conjunction with a very nice antique and collectable street faire. Food and beverage vendors located on the streets, as well as the many great restaurants scattered throughout town, will provide all you can need in the form of serving to curb your appetite.
