Interior Lighting

The interior lighting comes on when the door is open and after an interval if the door is left open the lighting will shut off. If yours is going off before you have had a chance to be seated and inserting the key then it is probably going off to soon.
The control of the lighting I think is in the SCLM (security control locking) module. The module is located beneath the fuse box in the boot. Due to it's position it occasionally can get wet and corrode.
I would remove and unplug the module and thoroughly clean the contacts on the module and the connector with contact cleaner. High resistance from corrosion could be the problem. You can apply di-lectric grease to the connector.
You might want to also disconnect and clean the BCM (body control module).
MAKE SURE TO DISCONNECT THE BATTERY BEFORE WORKING WITH ANY MODULE.
