This auction is for a set of cast aluminum intake manifolds for converting any year Jaguar V12 (including HE models) to a dual quad normally aspirated setup. This eliminates the problematic fuel injection system and also allows easy access to the cams as well as an overall clean looking motor. The 5.3 Litre V12 is roughly 600 CFM At 6,000 RPM but we have used two 500 CFM four barrel Carbs because they are affordable and work just fine. We have used this setup for marine application, as pictured, and have a full marine conversion available upon inquiry. The Dual Quad setup would work for automotive application and make for a great Hot Rod V12. As for fitting underneath the hood of your Jaguar this would have to be measured, for the XJS we do have a cast aluminum bolt on hood scoop available as pictured above and available upon inquiry.

This auction in only for the Intake Manifolds and the buyer pays the actual shipping costs.

looks like this setup, with a couple of sweet little blondes named holley, would be less than half the cost of the 12 pack Weber setup. and 1/3 of the tuning, lol.
but it seems to me, you might experience an enormous amount of BOG at WOT with 500+CFM carb's. i suppose you would never notice it in a marine setup since in a boat, you normally roll on the throttle slowly.

The boat looks awesome !

I would imagine it gets kind of hot in the drivers seat though....... judging by how they've routed the exhausts :-)

By the time you have installed these with a couple of carbs and cut a hole in the bonnet for it all to stick through you could have replaced ECU and installed distributorless ignition for about the same money.

BTW the exhausts will cool enough to touch as they are water cooled.

i doubt you have to cut your hood. im banking on being able to make these fit by using a low profile air cleaner, removing the hood insulation, and modifying the motor mounts.

You really can't lower the motor any further on the mounts, the oilpan is practically touching the rack already. If you check you'll see there isn't much room at all between the engine and the hood, but removing the insulation might help some.
The original V12's in the E's had twin updraft carbs right about where the butterflies are located now.

Either way, if you were going to go with carbs, I think you could probably make a manifold to go over the valve covers and find some updraft/sidedraft carbs.
For that matter, you could probably just remove and plug the injectors and use the same intakes.

carburators, really?? this is 2012 not 1965!

and how you gonna twin-turbo a V12, with carbs, and have a nice running vehicle? cheaply!

i found a set of E type manifolds for 70 bucks. very tempting. cant find any strombergs to go with it though.......
