Default Mouse eviction

How does a mouse get inside your XJS? I can understand a mouse nest between the rad and oil cooler any place where there is heat, But inside, that did it. Enough is enough, so out came the trap with some peanut butter before he started on any wiring. Its that time of year where mice seek out a warm engine. Yep, the mouse is toast.

Mice can wiggle through the Smallest hole! They flatten their ears, and if they can get their head through they just work their way through.

Once a long time ago my family was friends with some people who restored old Fords and kept them in a large barn. Mouse damage was incredible (it was a dairy farm) until they began putting a package of moth *****, punctured a few times to let the vapor escape, in the glove boxes of all the cars.

It couldn't hurt, and it might actually work for you.

When I store my XJS for the winter, I put several small plates full of moth ***** on engine and it has worked for many years.
What amazes me, is how fast a mouse can build a nest even when you are driving it daily and park it for the night. I check under my hood every day now, and thanks.

Mothballs keep the mice, squirrels and snakes away.
Use them liberally on the outside. Be careful on the interior.
The smell lasts for a long, long time.
Mice entered my air induction, chewed up the air filter and made a cozy nest.
Very fortunate all I lost / damaged was an air filter.
