Need advise on replacing wheels
Currently have staggered 19" Apollos that are in very bad condition.
Can't decide to recondition my current wheels or buy new. The Apollos are chrome and are peeling as well as bad curb rash. Also I would like to go to an 18" rim to get a little more tire sidewall for a better ride. I'm on Maui and handling is not as important as comfort to me. No long distant trips or high speed runs. Also to recondition my current wheels I'll have to ship them to CA.
Been thinking about going to wires which I love the look of but they are expensive. Came across these and I really like the look but not sure they will fit.
These are 24 offset and I know I need 33 for 8" rims and 35 for 9" rims for non- staggered so would a wheel spacer take care of the offset issue as well as the bolt pattern and concentric hug matching?
Any and all comments and advise is appreciated.

Plan to call American Racing on Monday to get some details. I'm thinking of just going with 9" on both front and rear so I can rotate them. My concern is the bolt pattern and the hub, well need a spacer for the offset differance but only around 10mm
Yes if I get new wheels I'll be selling my Apollos, they have pitting and chrome is flaking but I looked at them again today and the curb rash actualy isn't to bad.

I'll let you know before I put them up for sale. I had wanted to do a shadow on the recessed areas to match the grey trim on the mirror and windsheild with the highlights in silver.
Realy want wires but at $680 a wheel they are just a tad to pricey for me. The American Racing Daytona's I am asking about I think would look great also and at around $600 for 4 they are a great buy.

Karjcok, can you provide more info n this? I see a lot of wheel spacers less than 20mm for sale that fit the XK8.
Wheel sizing is a little of a black art to me so looking for any and all advise.
Anyone have comments on the offset issue. Using a 9" wheel on all 4 with a 24 offset, what size spacer would be best to use?

In front you can not use spacers together with 9" rims with 24 offset.

On the rear a stock 9" rim has 35 offset , I think, so a wheel with 24 offset would need a spacer around 10. Would this be correct?
On the front stock is 8", so are you saying the 9" rim would make up the differance between the stock 33 offset and the new 24 offset rim?
I know there's still the hub dia to deal with but trying to workout one issue at a time.

I sent an email to American Racing to get some more details on the rim but no reply yet. I'll give them another day or so then I'll call.
The rim is in their American Muscle Collection, I like it a lot.
Got an estimate to refurbish and chrome my Apollos from a shop in CA, around 2K with shipping both ways. Just to much money so replacement rims are the way to go if I can find some I like that can be made to fit.

I'm with you, My double fives have peeling and I'd looked at some places to refurbish, the shipping is what kills the cost. My wife was talking with a car guys she works with and he pointed me to a place in NJ (I live in southern NY) he highly recommended so I'll be able to 'deliver' them and pickup and should save a considerable cost. I've looked at after market and like some but I like the Jag wheels. All this will be done next spring when I'll need new rubber and the cars up for the winter.
